Britto Arts trust is very happy to organize the Student’s residency at Porapara Art Space in July-2007. This is the third residency program of the students that have been organized along with the Santua Art Foundation in Chittagong. Although it has been raining almost every day, these young artists were quite desperate to utilize their time during the month-long residency and produce a substantial amount of work which is going to be displayed on the open studio day on 31st July 2007.
This year we had 2 participants each from Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi. Britto believes that that staying together and working together with their contemporaries from the different institutions will be a great experience for these young stars. These young participants shared their ideas and thoughts with each other during their stay at Porapara Art Space, near Pattenga sea beach in a village outside Chittagong city. They would benefit themselves as well as others in applying this experience towards their future experimentation in visual arts.
